1. Il Registro non è un'associazione professionale . E’ solo un modo per capire quanti siamo, creare un database e rendere visibile e tangibile il fatto che siamo tanti , e quindi politicamente appetibili. Potremmo dire che è una sorta di censimento dei naturopati, utile per avere finalmente un quadro d’insieme. E questo potrebbe essere utile per tutti, scuole e associazioni comprese;
2. Il Registro non si presenta sotto forma di associazione professionale o federazione/sindacato di categoria. Quindi non intende sovrapporsi a tali associazioni professionali. Cerca invece la loro collaborazione per istaurare un dialogo costruttivo utile alla causa della naturopatia italiana. Il Registro, di conseguenza, non fornirà assistenza fiscale e legale. Non fornirà una polizza assicurativa ed un modulo per il consenso informato. Nemmeno avrà la pretesa di redigere l’ennesimo codice deontologico;
3. Il Registro si configurerà , almeno in una prima fase, come un semplice censimento a disposizione di tutti . Una volta realizzato, se ne stabilirà l’utilizzo e la destinazione;
4. I naturopati che vorranno aderire continueranno ad essere iscritti alle loro federazioni pagando e, qualora ne avessero voglia, forniranno i loro dati per essere inseriti gratuitamente nel Registro Unico dei Naturopati Italiani.

La naturopatia sta vivendo un periodo di stallo dal punto di vista legislativo . Dopo i successi delle leggi regionali (benché non applicate) e l’elaborazione di vari pdl a livello nazionale (comunque poco soddisfacenti), oggi si assiste ad una sorta di inspiegato oblio da parte delle Istituzioni . In controtendenza a quanto avviene nel resto d'Europa, la categoria medica sempre più rivendica metodi, tecniche e principi filosofici della naturopatia . Associazioni di naturopati e gruppi vari hanno difficoltà a dialogare tra loro per mille motivi.
Tutto ciò rischia di demotivare gli operatori e di vanificare il lavoro serio svolto in questi anni da scuole e associazioni. I naturopati viaggiano nell’oblio di uno stato giuridico, in quella terra di nessuno che qualcuno afferma essere la migliore possibilità che abbiamo. Ma questo significa strappare a gente che lavora, e nella quasi la totalità dei casi in modo eccellente, il rispetto che merita. Viviamo in un paese legalista, dove lo status legale è garanzia di affidabilità.
Non possiamo negare questo e disconoscere uno stato di fatto. Non giova a nessuno far finta di niente e lasciare che non si faccia una legge o si regolarizzi una posizione. Meglio avere poche competenze, ma chiare e legali, che molte, fumose e, soprattutto, a rischio.
